Joey King will forever be one of Channing Tatum‘s biggest fans.
While chatting with Tatum, 44, for Interview magazine, King, 25, opened up about how the actor supported her while the two shared the screen as father and daughter in the 2013 political thriller White House Down.
“You have always been one of the most supportive and kind people I have ever worked with, and it remains that way to this very day,” King told Tatum in their interview, which took place in August and was published on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

The actress praised Tatum after she mentioned the on-set teacher she had while shooting the film “was my favorite teacher of all time.”
“Oh man, I have so many other questions but I’ll just have to ask them in person,” said Tatum in response. “You’re truly a very special human and nothing I could have asked would ever have let anybody in on how special you are. I love you so much and I want people to get even just a glimpse of how dope you are.”

In the movie, Tatum plays John Cale, a Capitol policeman who takes his daughter Emily (King) on a tour of the White House only to realize he’s the only person who can save the president (Jamie Foxx) from a violent invasion.
Back in 2014, King told Cosmopolitan that working with Roland Emmerich, the film’s director, was “an all-around incredible experience.”
