John Goodman, 72, Recovers from Hip Injury While Filming New Movie with Tom Cruise
John Goodman is on the mend after suffering a hip injury on the set of director Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s latest film.
A Warner Bros. Pictures spokesperson confirmed to PEOPLE that the 72-year-old actor received immediate medical attention, resulting in a brief production delay. “The production resumes shooting next week following John’s full recovery,” the statement read.
The untitled film, currently in production at Pinewood Studios in England, is set for release on October 2, 2026. The star-studded cast includes Tom Cruise, Jesse Plemons, and Riz Ahmed.
Goodman, who also has upcoming projects like Chili Finger and Smurfs, continues to stay active in the industry despite recent challenges, including a house fire earlier this year.
