BREAKING NEWS: Former NFL Star Marcellus Wiley Sued Over Alleged Sexual Assaults at Columbia University in the 1990s.giang

Former NFL player Marcellus Wiley is facing serious allegations after two women filed a lawsuit in New York, accusing him of raping them in separate incidents while he was a student at Columbia University in 1994.

The 50-year-old ex-NFL defensive end, who played 10 seasons in the league, has previously denied allegations of sexual assault made by another woman from the same period. However, these new claims add to growing accusations against him.

Allegations from Two Women Detailing Separate Incidents

The lawsuit, filed last week, details accounts from two anonymous women, one now living in Texas and the other in California, both seeking unspecified damages.

According to court filings, the first alleged victim, a former Barnard College student, claims she was attacked in Wiley’s dorm room on October 27, 1994. The lawsuit states that after she repeatedly refused Wiley’s advances, he pressured her for sex, turned up the music in his room, and allegedly overpowered her.

The legal documents describe a harrowing scene in which Wiley allegedly pinned her down, whispered to her to “relax, enjoy it, stop crying, and stop fighting the feeling.”

Following the alleged assault, the woman says she reported the incident to a Columbia University administrator but was discouraged from filing a police report. According to the lawsuit, the administrator allegedly told her:

“You would be known as the girl who destroyed a Black man’s NFL dream.”

The second accuser, now residing in California, also alleges that Wiley assaulted her in his dorm room, though details of her experience have not yet been made public.

Wiley’s Previous Rape Allegation and His Response

This is not the first time Marcellus Wiley has been accused of sexual assault dating back to his time at Columbia.

In November 2023, another woman, now an Ivy League professor and sociologist, publicly accused Wiley of raping her in 1994, claiming he took her virginity against her will.

Wiley strongly denied the accusation in a YouTube video, calling the claims “BS” and offering his own version of events.

“If you’re a virgin, I am not going to be your first, because I am not looking at it with the same respect, esteem, and honor that you should. … We did mess around, but no vaginal intercourse,” Wiley stated in his response.

He further accused the woman of spreading false allegations because she allegedly felt “ashamed” after cheating on her boyfriend with him.

“She didn’t feel ashamed inviting me over … she only felt shame when she knew there was no future with me,” he claimed in the video.

Marcellus Wiley’s Personal and Professional Life

Wiley is currently married to Annemarie Wiley, a former cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The couple has three children together, and Wiley has an older daughter from a previous relationship.

During his NFL career, Wiley played for the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2001.

Following his retirement from football, Wiley transitioned into sports media, working as an analyst for ESPN and Fox Sports, as well as hosting his own sports podcast.

Columbia University and Wiley’s Representatives Decline to Comment

As of now, Wiley and his representatives have not responded to requests for comment regarding the new allegations.

Columbia University, which allegedly discouraged one of the victims from coming forward, has also declined to make a statement regarding the lawsuit.

With multiple accusations now surfacing, the case against Marcellus Wiley is drawing significant public attention. Whether additional details or more accusers will emerge remains to be seen, but the legal process could further expose what allegedly happened during Wiley’s time at Columbia.
