The rapper has been teasing glimpses of the video all week, sharing snaps of her sporting a racy bikini and animal-print body paint alongside one-half of City Girls, Yung Miami.
The video was the culmination of a month-long hunt for the best twerkers across the globe, with Yung Miami challenging women to send in clips of their best twerking dance moves to the track.
For the music video, record label Quality Control, who Cardi and Miami are signed to, flew out the best 20 twerkers from their shortlist.
The women competed to win $25,000 and the eventual champion, a women who managed to light a cigarette while twerking in a headstand, was seen getting her hands on the wads of cash at the end of the clip.
The first part of the video takes place on a yacht with the 20 women showing off their best moves.
Cardi and Miami are filmed showcasing their very raunchy twerking prowess wearing body paint and not much else.
Shot in Miami, the women twerked on the beach, in shallow water and around a stripper pole.
Cardi and Miami then changed into glittering jewel-encrusted lingerie as they took the twerk-out to the street.
The contest then moved to a warehouse strewn with rubble and several classic cars, with Cardi sat back in a directors chair checking out the best of the talent.
The winner was revealed on December 5 with Miami writing on Instagram: ‘Congratulations to The 25k Twerk Challenge winner @dhq_headtop ! We are so glad you got FLEWED OUT to be apart of the movement. Thank you for your creativity. You showed out Period!#CityGirls25kTwerkChallenge #GirlCode’
City Girls consists of hip hop duo Yung Miami and JT. JT was jailed in July 2018 for credit card fraud and is slated for release on March 21, 2020.
As Cardi’s very raunchy video dropped, her husband Offset was walking the runway at the Off-White fashion show at Paris Fashion Week.
The Georgia-born rapper wore a massive lilac-puffer with built-in cross-body bag.
