Chunk, a lovely 3-year-old golden retriever who had been missing for little over two weeks, has been reunited with his family after a water rescue by New Jersey State Police in the United States. Officers Ryan Koehler and Vincent Ferdinandi of the Point Pleasant Station were about to begin their shift when they received a report of a dog swimming in Barnegat Bay with no one around.
The officers went out into the bay to find the dog. According to Ferdinandi, they boarded the Zodiac boat when they were around 75 meters from the shore, where the tired dog was. Officers gingerly brought Chunk ashore and used a rope to carry him onto a pier behind a home.
On June 6, Chunk allegedly ran away from home while playing with his adoptive parents, Marie and James Zangara, when he was afraid and escaped into the woods.
From the moment Chunk went missing from his home, a massive search was begun, utilizing social media, local police agencies, bait traps, and trail cameras to find him as soon as possible. The cop conveyed his sorrow and worry for his family.
The posts were widely shared on social media platforms. People on the internet were quite helpful in the search, and her family was eager to bring their treasured pet home.
Officers tried to keep Chunk secure on the ground until his family could be found; the tired canine was terrified and anxious, and they were afraid he might run away again.
Officer Ferdinandi went on, “
“He went ahead of us a little.” It was great to witness how pleased her family was to see her return, and the dog was also delighted to see his family. We’re glad the puppy and its owners have been reunited.”

“Agents Koehler and Ferdinandi responded in a boat and were able to locate Chunk, who was swimming near the Mantoloking Bridge, and bring him safely to land.” Chunk, a three-year-old child, had been missing for more than a week. Needless to say, he was ecstatic to finally meet his grateful owners ».
