Taylor Swift had already been irked by fans of the Buffalo Bills before boyfriend Travis Kelce fell to defeat at their hands with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kelce and his Chiefs team-mates suffered their first loss of the 2024 season on Sunday, as a Josh Allen-inspired performance for the Bills secured a 30-21 win in the NFL. Despite Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes securing three touchdown completions, his intercepted pass intended for Kelce ended the tense match-up between the AFC giants.
This was the first time the Bills beat the Chiefs since October 2023, and many fans were ecstatic to see the current Super Bowl champions lose for the first time in 15 games. However, one supporter that wouldnt be best pleased is popstar Swift who didnt enjoy her experience of the Bills fans at a game in January.
This game in question was the Chiefs 27-24 win over the Bills in January 2024, where fans saw Swift cheer her new beau on and Travis brother Jason go topless and sink beers with supporters. It was the AFC Divisional playoff game, which saw the Chiefs go on to win their second Super Bowl in a row after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in February.
According to Adam Lefkoe, a friend of the Kelce family, the Bills-Chiefs game at the beginning of the year wasnt a fun experience for any of them and especially Swift. Speaking to Kay Adams on the Up & Adams show, as per Sports Illustrated, Lefkoe said: I have heard from people very close that it was not a great experience in Buffalo.

It was not. For all parties involved. And Im talking about the most famous of all the parties. I think that it kind of shocked the Kelce family and everyone related to the Kelce family the reception they got.
I think they were kind of going in being like, This is going to be an amazing game with good energy. And they got there and they experienced Bills Mafia in full form, in its complete ruthlessness. And I think they left and went, I dont know if I want to experience that again.’
Swift wasnt in attendance at the game on Sunday, as she last watched Kelce record eight catches and score a touchdown against the Denver Broncos in a 16-14 win in week 10. She was instead tied up with her Eras Tour as it progresses through Canada during the fall, performing at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Saturday night.
