The Boston Red Sox have received their second dose of bad injury news in as many days.On Saturday, starting pitcher Kutter Crawford, who has been on the Red Sox’s 60-day injured list since March 27, suffered a setback in his rehabilitation process after feeling pain in his wrist following a bullpen session the day before. He was in Fort Myers at the time of his injury, but he is on the move to Boston to undergo an MRI,  according to The Athletic’s Jen McCaffrey.

On Sunday, the Red Sox announced that another starting pitcher, rookie right-hander Hunter Dobbins, will be put on the shelf for the time being. According to MassLive’s Chris Cotillo, Dobbins has been placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain.

The Red Sox recalled fellow right-handed pitcher Richard Fitts from their Triple-A affiliate, the Worcester Red Sox, in a subsequent transaction.

Dobbins reportedly admitted that he saw his velocity decrease in his most recent outing against the San Francisco Giants on Friday. The Red Sox went on to win that game 7-5, but Dobbins struggled in the contest, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits and walking five batters while striking out just one.

Dobbins, who has been called up from Triple-A on three separate occasions so far this season, has had a strong debut campaign in the major leagues. He has pitched to a 4-1 record, 4.10 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 59.1 innings pitched in 12 games (including 10 starts). Dobbins has also totaled 43 strikeouts to 16 walks.

Fitts, meanwhile, has started five MLB games this year. He is credited with an 0-3 record, 4.71 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 15 strikeouts and seven walks in 21 innings pitched.
