Kate Hudson Opens Up About Motherhood and the Possibility of More Kids
Kate Hudson, 45, recently discussed her love for motherhood on Not Gonna Lie, a podcast hosted by Kylie Kelce. The Running Point actress, who has three children, revealed that she still considers having more kids and can’t imagine being done just yet.
“I could have so many kids,” Hudson shared. “I even think about it right now. I’m like, ‘Am I totally done?’ Because I just can’t imagine being done.”
She acknowledged that parenting becomes more challenging as children grow and gain independence. “It gets a little scarier when you have to let them go because you want them to love themselves and make good decisions,” she added.
Hudson has spoken about expanding her family before. In 2020, she told The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she wasn’t sure if she was finished having children. She later reiterated this in a 2022 Byrdie interview, saying, “I’ve been having children my entire adult life… I don’t even know if I’m done yet.”
Hudson is a proud mom to Ryder, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, Bingham, her son with former fiancé Matt Bellamy, and daughter Rani, whom she shares with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
Discussing her parenting journey on Netflix’s Skip Intro, Hudson reflected on raising children of different ages. “I’ve got the baby, then I’ve got Bing, who is about to hit puberty, and Ryder. Seeing them thrive is the best success story of anything I’ve done.”
Despite the challenges, she remains passionate about raising her children. “I feel like I know what I’m doing, but they’re all so different,” she admitted. “So the way I have to raise Ryder is so different from how I’m raising Bing and Rani. It’s interesting.”
