Lamar Odom has disclosed the “sick” reason he ordered a customized sex doll modeled after his ex-wife Khloe Kardashian.
The 45-year-old former NBA player was married to Khloe from 2009 to 2016, a marriage marked by his infidelities and struggles with substance abuse.
Earlier this month, news broke that Lamar commissioned a life-sized sex doll with a curvy figure and Khloe’s facial features.
His manager Gina Rodriguez revealed via TMZ that Lamar was excited about the freedom to “do anything he likes sexually” with the doll resembling his ex-wife.
The revelation sparked outrage on social media, with users on X, formerly Twitter, expressing their disgust. One commenter wrote: “This is beyond weird and creepy.”
Lamar has now addressed the controversy, explaining on the podcast We’re Out Of Time that he purchased the doll for his “mental health.”
“When you’re really thinking about it, like: ‘A doll?'” Lamar said. “But then you think about mental health, and how important that is, not just in today’s time, but just, you know, from the beginning of time.”
“A sex doll that looks like your wife, is that mental health?” asked podcast host Richard Taite, whose show focuses on sobriety.
“For me it would be,” Lamar replied. “Yeah, I mean, it’s sick but I think we’re all a little off or a little weird, a little bit.”
Lamar confirmed that the doll would be modeled after Khloe, joking: “I need like a harem” and “I gotta sell these things!”
When news of the doll first surfaced, DailyMail.com reached out to Khloe’s representatives for a comment.
Lamar purchased the doll from RealDoll, a company known for selling products that typically range from $8,000 to $20,000, though he reportedly received a discount.
He learned about RealDoll from a news article and later toured its factory in Las Vegas during a trip to the city for his birthday.
Lamar has already paid for the custom Khloe-inspired sex doll, which is still under construction but is expected to be delivered in time for the holiday season.
