“Lauren Boebert Likens Government Funding Bill to a Diddy ‘Freak Off.'” Cau

Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert recently made headlines for her controversial comparison of a government spending package to “freak offs,” a term associated with the allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. During an appearance on Steve Bannon’s *War Room* podcast, Boebert stated, “This CR, this continuing resolution, that we’re going to vote on today, it’s going to screw our country more times over than a Diddy freak off.”
Colorado Representative Lauren Boebert claimed a six-month stopgap bill woud ‘screw’ over the US more than a ‘Diddy freak off’

Boebert’s comments were in reference to a continuing resolution aimed at preventing a government shutdown by maintaining federal funding at current levels. She criticized the government’s funding approach as chaotic and referred to the severity of the situation by invoking the serious allegations against Diddy, who faces federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Prosecutors allege that Diddy directed a “freak off” operation, forcing women into recorded sexual activities while under the influence of drugs.

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges, with his attorney asserting that he is “an innocent man with nothing to hide.” He remains in custody without bail while awaiting trial.

In her comments, Boebert also emphasized her support for a provision within the continuing resolution called the SAVE Act, which mandates proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections. This measure has faced opposition from Democrats, and Boebert, along with 13 Republican colleagues, voted against the spending bill to keep the SAVE Act alive. She stated, “I love the SAVE Act,” echoing former President Donald Trump’s call for Republicans to reject the resolution unless it included measures to secure elections.

With the deadline for government funding fast approaching, Congress must reach an agreement by September 30 to avoid a shutdown on October 1, just weeks ahead of the presidential election. Boebert expressed her willingness to shut down the government to secure what she sees as election integrity, despite the lack of evidence supporting claims of widespread voter fraud.
