Just before Christmas, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes spent some time with children and families in need to spread some holiday cheer.
Mahomes and his wife Brittany visited EarlySTART a childhood education center to help kids from some of the most economically distressed zip codes in the Kansas City area via a clothing and supply donation.
In a post to his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Instagram page, kids were able to take pictures with Patrick and Brittany, and they were able to pick out clothes for the winter.
Continuing with the spirit of giving, Brittany visited Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City and brought along gifts for patients and their families.
Some of those donations were from Build-A-Bear Workshop which contained a pre-recorded message of encouragement from Patrick inside.

Mahoes donated clothing and supplies to kids and families in need before meeting them.
Mahoes is hoping to bring more joy to Kansas City on Christmas Day when the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders at home.
A victory would give the Chiefs not only a playoff berth but an eighth-straight AFC West title.
This season has not been the easiest for Kansas City which currently owns a 9-5 record with four of those losses decided by one score.
I think people just arent used to us winning in this fashion, Mahoes admitted.
Weve won a lot of close games, but we havent won those close games this year but were right there. We know that.
We watch the film, we see the good thats out there we also see the bad and where we need to get better. But you cant panic, I think thats the thing.
The Chiefs easily handled the Raiders 31-17 just a few weeks ago, but their strong defense could take advantage of KCs struggling offense.
KCs wide receivers have been letting them down all season long with Kadarius Toney the most recent example.

Mahoes and the Chiefs hope to clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Raiders on Monday.
I think its two things, Mahoes told Pro Football Talk. Im excited because you get that standalone [game]. You get to play at Arrowhead [Stadium] at 12:00.
I mean, everybodys gonna be just opening presents and getting the food in them, and then theyre going to be the happiest they possibly can be, and theyre gonna turn on and see the Kansas City Chiefs playing. So Im excited about that.
Im a little disappointed Im going to miss Christmas Eve with my kids and Christmas morning and miss Santa coming. But Ill be able to spend the evening with them and open presents with them then. So, itll be a great opportunity. Im excited for that. Well miss the kids a little bit, but well celebrate after the games over.
