Cori Broadus, Daughter of Snoop Dogg, Gives Birth Three Months Early: ‘She’s Perfect as Ever!’
Cori Broadus, daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, has shared a heartfelt Instagram post announcing the birth of her first child. The 25-year-old revealed that her daughter arrived three months early, and she couldn’t help but feel emotional about the experience.
In a joint post with her fiancé Wayne Deuce, Cori shared a black-and-white photo of her newborn daughter’s tiny foot. “The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that I’m His Child,” Cori wrote in the caption.
Cori later provided more details about her birth in her Instagram Stories, explaining that she had to undergo a C-section. She posted a picture of herself in the hospital, with a blue sheet separating her body. “First c-section was a success 🙂 shout out to the man up above,” she wrote.
In another post, Cori revealed that she initially thought she had a bad case of gas but was later diagnosed with HELLP Syndrome, a severe and potentially life-threatening condition. “Doctors told me thank you for coming, and if I would’ve waited a few more days, it would’ve been really bad,” she shared. HELLP Syndrome is a variant of preeclampsia, causing red blood cell destruction, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelets.
Cori also took the opportunity to encourage her followers to listen to their bodies and be cautious of misinformation online, especially on platforms like TikTok.
Fans were quick to offer congratulations and support. One person wrote, “Congrats Love! And you are sooo soooo blessed! My grandson was born at 27 weeks and he just turned 5 last week! God is with you and your bundle of joy!” Another added, “She is covered and blessed and will be just fine, congrats on your new blessing!”
This new joy for Cori comes after a difficult health scare earlier in 2024, when she revealed she had suffered a stroke. Sharing her emotional experience from her hospital bed, Cori expressed how devastating the news was, saying, “I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me. Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this?”
Cori was diagnosed with lupus at the age of six, a disease that affects the body’s immune system and increases the risk of strokes, adding an extra layer of complexity to her health journey.
Despite the challenges, Cori is now embracing motherhood with gratitude and strength, thankful for her new blessing.
